Mysteriarch!

All the illustrations for Mysteriarch 4 are pretty much done and scanned in, we just need to put the words and pictures together, like this---

In the Land of Red Cows

Diptych I drew quite a few years back, can't really remember what the right hand one was about (aside from a massive admiration for the paintings of Camille Rose Garcia) but the left hand one is definitely about my fear of corn crisps.

Slate/Wine sketchbook stuff

Not quite sure what to do having finished the many illustrations for Mysteriarch 4, so have been sketching whatever comes to mind in my latest favourite posca combination--Slate Grey and Red Wine. The smallest size these colours come in is 3m and I never typically draw with anything that thick, so it feels a bit clumsy but it's certainly quite a change from .25.
Some of the following images continue my collaborations with Mysteriarch writer Andrew Barron, the catchy inspirational phrases are his work (although the more or less badly executed lettering is mine).

I had second go at this one, but I still don't think I'm finished with it--

I also extend my apologies to Gamera, Megalon, Al Columbia and Ernst Haeckel.

ATTACK OF THE CRAB MONSTERS

Pencil case i made of this design I have for sale at spoonflower.
Originally it was in fact a posca pen drawing based on this still from the titles of the Roger Corman film Attack of the Crab Monsters.

Joan Crawford with 40lb Salmon

It's just an old sketch of Joan Crawford holding a 20lb salmon.

THE KWELLA STROLL

my second 'music video', guest starring Beryl from Sons and Daughters.

Oh wait, I think this is how you're supposed to promote your spoonflower designs

here is a toile de jouy style design I did based on the Bava film The Girl Who Knew Too Much

Spoonflower shop

I've got a shop on spoonflower these days, if you could do with some fabric with things like flying slugs, aquatic deer, anthropomorphised afghan hounds or giallo inspired images, etc, printed on it. These are some of the images I used for the designs, but there are lots of more digitally edited ones that can only now be viewed on the spoonflower shop now since I had a hard drive disaster. Some of them are quite good.

drawing of a dream, including guest appearance from giant billboard of this amazing seventies poster I found in my grandparents' house.

ANIMALS LIKE THE POP

my first youtube music video, for 'Animals Like the Pop' by Harry Winkler.

Gaybox with Bric-a-Brac

This year's Mother's Day card.

Triptych of Records

3 12" records that must have been so awful that they were better off being decorated with posca pens.

'Collectible' Ballerina Doll & Her Llama

This interesting pair started life as a ballerina doll from a Pound Shop, an ornament head and a fake My Little Pony (both found in the street). They were then daubed with paper-mache and acrylic. Ultimately they starred in a strip I did for an issue of Paper Tiger Comix.

I decorated this plate for my gran last summer using a Pebeo Porcelaine marker pen.

Playmobil Nightmare in Butcher Shop

Quite pleased to have found some photos of the Butcher Shop that I modified with nail varnish, acrylic and a glue gun a good few years back.
Brains and crucifix were made out of Prima clay.

The man in black was originally supposed to be a chimney sweep as I recall, but I gave him some crosses to try and make him look like Rev. Trask from Dark Shadows.

It's the Fully Poseable Star Jane Afghan Figurine

I made this for my friend's birthday using pom poms, pipecleaners, a fashion doll head, rose quartz beads, paper-mache, nail varnish, acrylic, pins, a cocktail stick. I even got the scary Power Engraver out to add a bit of detail to the stage.

The figurine has proceeded to appear in a series of tableaux, including this wonderful 'gothic' one. Photo/tableau by Andrew Barron.
